Introducing: the JSS judges of 2018!

Junior Star Singer takes to the road again this year on more than 20 radio stations across the UK, giving young budding singers and songwriters the chance to compete and showcase their talents to music industry professionals.  The winner is awarded an opportunity to have a track recorded with a high profile producer, that will be played across the radio tour on all 20 stations the following year.  It’s a remarkable opportunity for any young artist who wants to break into the industry.  This year founder and main presenter Amanda Neale has invited some exciting new judges to listen to the talent across the competition.

Tom Manning
First up on the panel is Tom Manning, director of the famous Monnow Valley Studios where the likes of Simple Minds, Coldplay, Oasis, Skunk Anansie, Phil Collins, Stereophonics and many more have recorded their works.  Tom has a great track record in producing amazing artist and supporting those that are up-and-coming, like our contestants!
We also have Laurence Hobbs from Charthouse music, Laurence Hobbsa writer and producer who has written for many acts including Sam Smith, Pixie Lott, Shayne Ward, Andy Abrahams, Sean Wolfe, Laura White and Amanda Wilson. Charthouse have produced for the Voice Kids and Britain’s Got Talent. He has written songs that have reached the number one spot in seven countries, as well as lending his skills to companies such as the BBC, Sky and Syco.
DJ ShabzFinally, we will be joined by DJ Shabz, professional club and radio DJ, as well as mix DJ for BBC Radio 1Xtra.  With 17 years of experience under his belt, Shabz has developed a fulfilling career as an outstanding club DJ in and around London.
